Her heart pounded as she fell to her knees trying to catch her breath.

“Please don’t leave me” she begged. She had just gotten caught by her boyfriend that she was texting another guy and trying to meet up with him. “I promise nobody else is going, it is just me” she pleaded. He didn’t believe her. The sweat rolling from his forehead down to his jawbone to run perpendicular across to his chin and fall desperately on the floor meeting his puddle of tears.

“It’s just that after I found out you were texting that other guy, I don’t know if I am comfortable letting you go to the movie without me” he told her.

She tilted her eyebrows up towards his honest lips and took another deep breath.

“If you don’t want me to go, I will stay”, she whispered as she gave him a kiss on the cheek and waved him off to work.

“Please forgive me” he exclaimed out the car window.

She sat there, on her knees crying a million tears inside just to hide the fact she was the one who should be sorry. She felt ashamed and crawled back into their one bedroom house.
